It's been a busy week! Hoyt and I went out of town Monday morning until Tuesday evening and it was a wonderful getaway. Much needed and much appreciated! My parents stayed with the kids with a little help from family and friends. We are lucky! The babies had a big appointment Thursday at the Child Development Center. It was a NICU followup appointment and they met a nurse practitioner, developmental therapist, physical therapist and NICU doctor. They all feel that all 3 babies look wonderful and are developing properly. It was a very reassuring appointment. The P.T. gave us some pointers to help build up Andrew and Colin's upper body and trunk strength. Dr. Klesh said we are doing a great job with the babies and that they look like very happy and secure babies. They were all weighed and Colin is now the largest at 21 pounds, Andrew at 20 pounds and Daniel at 19 pounds. Colin had an appointment with the cardiologist yesterday, too, and his EKG and echo cardiogram look normal. He'll see the cardiologist again in 6 months (March) and will probably have a cardiac catheterization (to look at the coronary artery graft) sometime soon thereafter. It was nice to have Hoyt home all week, but he is back to work in a couple of days.
