Our triplets were born on December 27, 2008 at St. John's Mercy Medical Center. Each baby weighed 3 lbs. 4 oz. Andrew Martin was delivered first followed by Colin Bryan both at 8:09. Finally Daniel Louis arrived at 8:10. Colin was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect shortly after birth. Colin's heart surgery was on January 6, 2009 and his recovery has been nothing short of a miracle! Thanks for visiting our blog and reading about all 3 of our little miracles!

We had a nice weekend even though it was a bit cold. Hoyt and I took the kids to Rombach's Pumpkin Patch on Saturday after lunch and it was fun. Quick and fun! The babies did great the whole time. We got them out of their stroller for pictures and not once did any of them fuss. All 3 fell asleep on the way home...actually Colin fell asleep in the stroller on the way back to the car! Jack was a good big brother as usual. It's fun taking them out, but the stares and comments are already getting a little old. Oh well! We are so blessed that everyone is doing so well. At the moment noone is sick either! Nothing is planned for tomorrow, thank goodness! Colin goes one more time to the P.T. who specializes in manual therapy on Wednesday and I guess I'll take all the babies with me and then pick up Jack at school. Thursday Colin and Daniel need to follow up with the orthopaedic surgeon making sure their congenital hip dysplasia is resolved. At least the weather is going to be nice the next couple of days for all of these appointments! Hopefully we have time to get a walk in this evening!

Colin had P.T. at home today and we are working on movements and flexion with him. He is sitting up independently and so is Andrew. Daniel will sit there, but want to fall to the side and go. Daniel is still up on hands and knees rocking back and forth. Andrew showed a little stranger anxiety over the weekend. They are changing so much and getting so big! We plan on going to the pumpkin patch this Saturday as a family so I hope the weather cooperates and we can get some great pictures. I got some great photos of the boys yesterday that I'll be adding to this post!

The babies' 9 month checkup was on Monday. They received their Hepatitis B shot in one leg and their first of 2 flu shots in their other leg. They did OK with the shots...not too many tears! Colin is now in the lead with weight. He is 21 lbs. 9 oz. followed by Andrew at 20 lbs. 1.5 oz and then Daniel is 19 lbs. 4 oz. Andrew is the tallest at 29 1/4 inches, then Colin at 29 inches and finally Daniel is 28 1/2 inches. The pediatrician is very pleased with their progress. All the babies are getting close to sitting up independently. Andrew did for about 5 minutes straight one day this week. Colin arches his back a lot so he flails backwards and I need to always have a hand behind him to catch him. Daniel just wants to slump, turn to the side and go. Yesterday Daniel had himself on knees in full crawling position and was rocking. He is almost there! Andrew wants to grab whatever he can get his hands on. They are all teething like mad! I would say Colin is drooling the most, but still no pearly whites showing! Daniel is working on a third tooth emerging on the bottom left next to the 2 middle ones. They are gnawing on anything they can find and have been irritable this week. Hopefully today is a better day!
