I remember thinking 2 months ago, "just wait....by Memorial Day I bet they will be sleeping better, smiling more and eating quicker!" We're here and they are! Andrew has been having 1 tbsp of cereal by spoon morning and evening for the past 3 weeks and is doing better with it. Sometimes I think he might be getting a little too full though and having a harder time finishing his bottle which is why I'm hesitant to start Colin and Daniel on cereal now. They are doing good to complete 5-5 1/2 ounces 5 times a day. Colin slept until 6:45 this morning (he is usually the first to rise). Andrew and Daniel woke at 7:30! I used to think that Colin smiled the most, but now I have to say that Daniel is the guy with the most smiles. He is such a flirt! Andrew smiles, too, but is still a little bothered by his belly I think. All of them are cooing and making new noises. Daniel is the most vocal of the bunch! They are changing so much and we are enjoying every moment. Jack is enjoying them, too! He held Daniel this morning and I'll include pictures of him holding Daniel on this post. Now we're working on establishing a daytime nap routine!

It was a lovely Mother's Day! I got to sleep in this morning while Hoyt got up and fed all 4 boys. I also went to finally treat my pathetic feet to a pedicure. Hoyt grilled us filet mignons and vegetables and it was delicious! Before I head to bed I wanted to update on this past week. The babies went to the pediatrican last Friday for their 4 month checkup. Andrew is still the big guy at 12 lbs 13 oz and 23 1/4 inches long. Colin is next in weight, but the shortest! I've been calling him Bubba! Colin weighs 12 lbs 9 1/2 oz and 22 1/2 inches long. Little Daniel is 12 lbs 5 1/2 oz and the tallest at 23 1/2 inches. The doctor gave us the go-ahead to start Andrew on cereal on the spoon. He likes it and enjoys it! Andrew takes 6 oz 5 times a day! The other 2 guys are doing good to finish 5 oz 5 times a day. They are smiling so much more and now we're looking forward to a little bit of laughing. They are consistently sleeping about 7 hours between feedings. Usually they eat between 8 and 9pm and next eat around 4am. The doc said that by 6 months they should be able to make it 12 hours and by 5 months 8 hours. We'll see! They'll already be 5 months by May 27th. Enjoy the pictures!

The babies were baptized yesterday at our church and it was a fun day. Afterwards we had lunch at mom and dad's house. The triplets did great and hardly cried. We all had a nice time! Last week Colin went to the eye doctor and he said that his prognosis is very favorable. There are no signs of near sightedness at this point and he doubts Colin will have any peripheral vision loss down the road. We're still praying that his vision continues to improve. He also saw the cardiologist this week and his echocardiogram report and EKG look good. His blood pressure was a little high so he would like us to come back within a couple of weeks just for a quick blood pressure check. We may have to put him on a little medicine for this, but we'll see. The doctor is to check to see if a kidney ultrasound was done while he was in the NICU and if not then we will go and have that done, too. The babies are taking 5 oz now about 5 times a day and going 6-8 hours between feedings at night. We feel much more rested now!
